Window Measuring Guide
Step-by-step instructions to measure your windows in centimetres for a perfect-fit zebra blind.
Choose Your Mount Type
Before measuring, decide whether you want an inside mount (blind sits inside the window frame) or an outside mount (blind is mounted on the wall above and around the frame).
Inside Mount
The blind installs inside the window frame recess. Gives a clean, built-in look. Requires at least 2–3 inches of depth in the frame.
Outside Mount
The blind is mounted on the wall above the window frame. Blocks more light, makes windows appear larger, and works for any window depth.
Inside Mount — Step by Step
Measure the Width — 3 Places
Inside the window frame, use a digital laser measure to measure the width at the top, middle, and bottom. Use the narrowest measurement. This ensures the blind fits inside the frame without gaps.
Measure the Height — 3 Places
Use your digital laser tool to measure the height on the left side, center, and right side of the inside frame. Use the longest measurement so the blind covers the full opening.
Record to the Nearest Millimetre
Write down your measurements precisely in centimetres. Zebra blinds are custom-cut, so accuracy matters. Do NOT round up or down to the nearest centimetre.
No Deductions Needed
For inside mount, submit your exact measurements in centimetres. Our factory applies the standard deduction automatically to ensure a smooth fit inside the frame.

Measure width at top, middle & bottom (in cm) — use the narrowest. Measure height left, center & right — use the longest.

Pro Measuring Tips
Use a digital laser measure for precise centimetre readings — far more accurate than tape measures.
Measure twice, order once. Double-check every measurement in centimetres before submitting.
Check for obstructions — handles, cranks, or locks inside the frame that could block the blind.
For multiple windows, measure each one individually — even identical-looking windows can differ by centimetres.
For maximum light blockage, always choose outside mount with extra width overlap.
Rental properties? Outside mount leaves no permanent holes in the window frame.
